The Art of Creation

This horror based visual novel is a retelling of the story of Adam & Eve in a queer context that strives to eliminate the stigma  certain religions can hold towards members of the LGBTQ+ community made based on my own POV and experiences with the topic. It is not meant to encompass every single queer person's experience with religion but rather tell a story based off what I have encountered. I hope "The Art of Creation" will grow into something others in the community can relate to and find some form of catharsis from.

This tale begins with the creation of two angelic beings. Their deity adores them but there is something off about the affection they're given. The angels feel uncomfortable in their own skin and the idea of having relations with the other sickens them, however, they have no idea why they feel so repulsed.

The couple is told they can roam the garden they're born in but warned to never eat from the "Tree of Knowledge" as if they do they will meet a horrible end. Contrary to the Deity's word, a demonic Serpent appears claiming the Deity is full of lies. The Serpent tells one of the angels that should they eat the tree's fruit they will find out why their body feels so strange and why they lack any attraction to the being they were created for.

Unable to quell their curiosity, the naive angel eats the apple and it does indeed give them an epiphany about their existence. The Serpent may have been telling the truth, however, the truth comes at a cost. In exchange for the wisdom, the Serpent devours the angel's sacred heart. When confronted by the angel the Serpent agrees to return the heart, but only if the angel agrees to leave the garden and turn their back on their creator.

So the angel and demon leave the garden.

Their journey begins.

awesome visual. it seems like i don't really get how to move forward in this game, i just end up with the same ending. should i click on something in the background or enter specific name?

Thank you! It actually only has one ending as of right now and it's just meant to be a short little experience. If I get the time though I'd love to expand on it cause I did originally plan for it to have multiple endings!

ah ok. thanks for a reply. i just haven't seen anywhere that this is a demo, so the description doesn't really match the game. still enjoyed it tho
